Air Liquide Lays Groundwork for Procedural Automation
Air Liquide will present some of the concepts and challenges involved as they begin a program of procedural automation of their facilities. It is Air Liquide’s goal to automate many previously manual procedures in order to increase reliability and efficiency, enable remote operation, and tackle the challenge of knowledge retention. Specifically they will cover what the vision is, what are the enabling technologies, and what tools and solutions are available in the marketplace. They will examine how they were able to apply existing tools and what gaps existed that required engineering new solutions. The impact to work processes as well as longer term questions around sustainability, support, and obsolescence will also be explored.
