Howard Penrose

Howard W Penrose, Ph.D., CMRP, is the 2018 Chair of the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) and the past chair of SMRP Government Relations and the Cybersecurity sub-committees. He has been directly involved in working with Federal organizations and elected officials in the development of cyber-strategy in relation to IoT devices before it was considered cool.  He is also the president of MotorDoc LLC, an electrical and electromechanical systems consulting and field-service provider. Penrose is a five-time recipient of the UAW-GM People Make Quality Happen Award, an award winning author, past officer and present standards development member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and is a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
