Uwe Scharf

Uwe Scharf is the Executive Vice President of Rittal’s Global Business Unit Industry. Mr. Scharf joined Rittal GmbH & Co. KG back in 2001 as Vice President of Product Management and has strategically led global product management initiatives until 2017 when he was promoted to overseeing the industrial global business unit. He is a seasoned expert in the automation and controls industry, with nearly 30 years of experience. Since he joined Rittal, Mr. Scharf has been a driving force in product innovation, leading multiple development efforts to align with market needs and requirements. He is well known in the Rittal subsidiaries as he travels across the globe to meet with the various product teams providing direction and guidance where needed.

Prior to joining Rittal, Mr. Scharf worked in various Product Management capacities in Automation and Process Control Systems for over ten years at Hartmann & Braun and Elsag Bailey, all part of the ABB Group of companies. In addition to his leading executive role at Rittal, Mr. Scharf is an active member of various industrial technology associations, including ZVEI (ZentraIverband Elektrotechnik), a German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association, and the VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V.), Association of Electrical Engineering and Electronic Information Technology. Mr. Scharf is a graduate from TH Mittelhessen, University of Applied Sciences, Giessen-Friedberg, Germany with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
